Emma: Of course! I've been dancing since I was a little girl, and it quickly became my passion. Over the years, I've trained in various dance styles, from ballet to musical theater, to hip-hop, but my favorite style is contemporary dance. I've been fortunate to be part of a competitive studio, where we participate in regional and national competitions.

Emma: Music is absolutely crucial in competitive dance. It sets the mood, conveys emotions, and enhances the overall performance. The right music can make or break a routine. It's the heartbeat of our dance.

Emma: Absolutely! We had an ‘open contemporary’ routine with a powerful narrative and a few songs to work with; we wanted the music to match it perfectly .
